Captain: Fabrizio Fassbind
Nationality: Swiss
Captain: Fabrizio Fassbind
Chef/First Mate: Dani Andrews
Despite coming from a land locked country, Fabrizio grew up with a love for the water. In his younger years he was a very talented competitive swimmer which sparked his affection for the big blue. After completing his apprenticeship as an airplane mechanic and later serving in the military he continued traveling the world and felt the urge to return to his favorite element once again. Before returning to the sea he studied Hospitality Management at Zurich University of Applied Sciences and later ran his own business in the hospitality industry.
Fabrizio is a seasoned surfer, fisherman, scuba diver, free diver and most important; Captain. As a Swiss citizen he naturally strives for meticulously precise planning as well as perfection in service delivery. He has years of experience in Yacht Charters where he sailed Crewed Yachts up to 59 feet both in the Mediterranean and the Virgin Islands. His good-hearted spirit combined with his contagious blue eyed smile will welcome you every morning to one of the most beautiful days in your life when spending your time on the water with him.
Born and raised in Florida, Dani grew up with a tremendous love of the ocean and the outdoors which continues to bring her joy and a sense of comfort. From an early age she was curious and excited as her father would teach her the ways around a kitchen and then working in the hospitality industry while in college she learned the ins and outs of the restaurant world.
After obtaining her Associate in Arts from Valencia College she took her first adventure out to Hawaii to work on cruise ships where she got her first taste of life on the water. Living and working on the beautiful islands only deepened her passion for people and cooking abroad. Traveling and experiencing new cultures and cuisine has made her want to share that experience with others.
The following year she decided to trade the big ship life for something more fulfilling, where she could connect more with her guests and let her true passion of cooking come alive. After her first trip as chef aboard a sailing yacht in Portugal she knew she had found her perfect fit. She has spent the last 3 years working on sailing yachts in Portugal, Croatia, and the Virgin Islands which has allowed her to travel to over 20 different countries increasing her knowledge of alternative cuisines and her love of sailing.
The Dani and Fabrizio duo take pride in everything they do and enjoy applying their experience in hospitality with their local knowledge to create the perfect experience for you.
