Navigation
Little harbour lies just to the east of the Great Harbor. The anchorage is quite easy to navigate for BVI charter yachts, as it is small and well protected. The marked channel with red and green buoys at the entrance will guide you directly to the harbour. The inside depth is 8-10m. while steering your charter yacht, you just need to be mindful of the shoals on both sides of the harbour, other than that passage through it is relatively easier than most. A big portion of the bay is associated with paid moorings, which is managed by the restaurants (VHF16).
General Information
Little Harbour is a lobster haven. Apart from its scenic view and charming atmosphere, it has three of the best restaurants of Jost Van Dyke, and all of them specialize in lobster. The anchorage has about 20 mooring balls for charter yachts and a few good spots for snorkeling. Both Abe’s and Harris’ place, have 10 moorings each and both of them monitor channel 16. Bear in mind that the best sheltered anchorage for BVI yacht charter vessels is in the north east.
What to do in Little Harbour?
