Captain - Sean Kampfer
Born and raised on Long Island NY, Captain Sean joined the boating scene at a young age. Beginning with his parent’s boats and restoring an old sailing boat of his own he eventually began running water taxis and mid-size passenger vessels to the city. Falling hard for yachting one summer after joining a busy charter yacht in New England he has not looked back. Sean is a hands-on captain who takes great pride in any vessel or program he runs. He is guest satisfaction oriented and aims to make your time aboard TAIL LIGHTS a fantastic and memorable one! Sean is a licensed pilot and in his spare time you might find him sailing, flying, snowboarding, golfing, and spending plenty of time at the beach. Previous yachts: SEAFARER, JOPAJU, ENDEVOUR, SERENITY, FRISKY LADY.
Chef – Daniela Boia’
Chef Daniela was born and raised in Transylvania, Romania. After finishing her studies in Public Relations, she realized how much more of the world she wanted to see so she decided to join the cruise industry and sail around the world. She went sightseeing for 8 years around the globe and moved up the ranks in various Food and Beverage departments. While on vacation in South Florida, she fell in love with a Cuban (no, just joking) she means the weather… Daniela fell in love with the South Florida weather and beaches and never left. She found her way into the yachting industry and into the Miami restaurant business very quickly, adding up more hospitality experience. When the pandemic hit, she shut down her catering business and turned to yachting again successfully sharing her culinary creations with the TAIL LIGHTS charter guests and crew.
Chief Stewardess – Raluca Ghenoiu
Raluca is from Bucharest in beautiful Romania. Raluca is passionate about working with people and has spent a great deal of time in the hospitality & service industry. Raluca has a nursing degree from Romania and has volunteered in hospitals. Raluca turned to waitressing as a way to help her pay for school, while getting experience in hospitality. With over 17 years’ of experience in hospitality Raluca has traveled from Europe to the Caribbean, working in various restaurants, Cruise ships, and Yachts. Raluca is very active, enthusiastic about life, has a love for the ocean and nature, and enjoys sharing her experiences while helping the guests on TAIL LIGHTS create memories for a lifetime. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, building puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family.
2nd Stewardess – Jade Leonard
Jade was born in New York, and moved with her family to Paris, and then settled in Montreal. In Montreal, Jade loved to swim at her community pool. That is where she discovered her passion for synchronized swimming, lifeguarding and the water. In college, Jade enrolled in an Intro to Marine Biology course, where she had the opportunity to snorkel and study marine ecosystems in Belize. Jade worked hospitality for over 7 years and was convinced that her skills would work well in yachting. She also likes to practice yoga and calligraphy, read, run, swim and plan events. Jade is very excited to create amazing experiences for the TAIL LIGHTS guests.
1st Mate – Andrew Williams
Andrew grew up in Pensacola where the water is a blue and the sands are bright white. As he grew up, he spent much of his time either at the beach, playing sports, or camping in the woods just north of his hometown. Although he lived around the water all his life, Andrew didn’t join the yachting industry until 2017 after he had gone to college in pursuit of a Computer Science degree, ran his own Landscaping business, and worked at a bingo hall. Andrew’s hobbies include traveling, diving, sports, and outdoor activities. Andrew has been in the yachting industry for almost 5 years, has obtained a 200-ton Captains license, and jointed the team on TAIL LIGHTS to help provide their guests with amazing and unique experiences!
Engineer – Shawn Wakefield
Shawn first fell in love with the ocean when he was very young. Growing up on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, he spent his time exploring the dunes and the underwater world at age 10. Shawn’s love of the ocean led him to George Stone Technical Center becoming an Outboard Engine Technician in Pensacola, Florida, before moving to South Florida where he ran daily scuba charters as a Scuba Instructor leading dives and teaching students his passion for the sea. After many years working in the hospitality industry and working on the water he obtained his 100ton Captains license and was presented with the opportunity to join TAIL LIGHTS. Shawn is sure to add an element of excitement to your journey aboard TAIL LIGHTS.
