This tiny marina is located on the south part of Burt Point. The access channel is only 1.7m and it can get even narrower during a swell. On top of that, you will have to turn about 90 degrees to port once past the breakwater just to get into the main basin. However, it is just a short walk away from Fort Burt and Road Reef.
Owing to the difficulties, the marina is clearly not accessible for large keelboats. Bear in mind that the marina does not allow random visiting charter yachts as it is reserved for the usage of the residents who are already part of the condominium. So, be sure to make your reservation before you decide to set off on your BVI yacht charter voyage.
General Information
Prospect Reef Marina is part of a hotel and real estate development. The small harbour is mainly used by dive boats and yacht charter companies and it is the home for a host of day-charter boats for Tortola. The government bought the resort and they are planning on improving and expanding the facilities over here. Part of the resort has recently been partially opened to the public.
The marina offers a dock space for charter yachts almost as large as 45 feet with water, fuel and resort facilities nearby for tourists and sailors. It is placed conveniently close to Road Town. However, without making prior reservations, it is not a good idea to go there by charter yacht.
What to do in Prospect Reef Marina?
There is a lot on offer if you want to drop by at this miniscule marina. There are coffee shops and restaurants surrounding this small harbour. The aquatic theme park alone is a good enough reason to pay a visit to this marina.

Plumrose is located at Prospect Reef Marina close to the dolphin discovery and it is a short drive away from Road Town. Dolphin Discovery is a part of the Prospect Reef Resort. This program will give the visitors an opportunity to spend time with these wonderful animals. You can shake your fins, receive a kiss or kiss the dolphins back while playing and swimming in the water.
You will be provided with a life jacket. Do not forget to bring extra clothes and a towel along with you.
