Captain: Bryan Smither
Nationality: South African
Captain Bryan Smither
Born and raised in South Africa, Captain Bryan's life has been nature based for as long as he can remember! If he is not in the ocean, he is sailing on it, and if he's not near the ocean, he is wishing he was. Bryan comes from from an adventurous, ocean based family so it was only a natural progression for him to move into sailing. In addition to a charter captain, Bryan is a dive instructor, a surf instructor/guide, a marathon canoeist, yoga instructor, wellness expert, masseuse, free diver, and a keen fisherman having fished some of the worlds most remote archipelagos. His yachting experience has been gained sailing around South Africa and the Caribbean and for the past 6 months in Panama and surrounds. Bryan is really looking forward to exploring the USVI and BVI’s with his guests on board Walk'n on Sunshine.
Chef Nina Fischer
Born and raised in England, Chef Nina has always had a great love of the water. Nina has a working background in property management, security, financial services and hospitality and has worked at many events such as the British Grand Prix, Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, and other popular sporting events in the UK. When Nina found yachting, she was finally given the opportunity to combine her hospitality experience with her love of the ocean. In 2021, she left her land life behind and has been adventuring on the high seas ever since. She started off in the Med, but has since spent time in Sint Maarten, St Barths, the US Virgin Islands, the British Virgin Islands, Martinique, the Bahamas, and St Vincent and the Grenadines. Nina really enjoys making dishes that her guests will savour visually, as well as for the flavour, and ensuring her guests make memories that will last a life time is her priority. She is so excited to welcome guests aboard Walk'n on Sunshine!
