There is a long mole which protects the vast area to the south of Tortola yacht charter services boatyard, where two pontoons have been installed in 3-4m in front of the area where the new marina office will be built. Opposite to the construction, Joma Marina is built. The Two pontoons provide about 20 berths which are equipped with water and electricity. Though most of the berths are leased to various BVI yacht charter companies.
General Information
Port Purcell has two installed pontoons along which berthing is possible. These berths are mostly equipped by various charter companies namely BVI Yacht Charters. The BVI Yacht Charters have the majority of berths along Port Purcell. There are about 20 berths each with water and electricity equipped.
Besides the two pontoons, the cargo dock of Port Purcell is found. The dock is able to handle large cargo ships such as containerized cargo and traditional cargo. The quay front of 244 meters, depth of 6.7 meters, provide a clean and spacious apron. Six acres of the paved area offer adequate space for container storage, also a Transit shed and Container Freight Station is available. The Port Purcell is governed by the BVI Ports Authority.

C & F Restaurant
The Restaurant is run by a local chef, Clarence and his wife Florence. They offer local seafood dishes and West Indies cuisines, all at a reasonable price. The Grilled Swordfish is popular amongst the tourists.

The Caribbean Cellars located at the Port Purcell provide a range of liquor, beer and wine.
Fishing Complex
The Fishing Complex located near the Baugher’s Bay offers fresh local seafood.
One Mart Superstore
The largest supermarket located at the Port Purcell. They provide a huge range of products and excellent meat at competitive prices.

The BVI Yacht Charters have been running the business for about 20 years. They also occupy the majority of the berths. They offer a range of yacht charters – from expensive luxurious charts to affordable price range boats.
Port Purcell dock serves both as a berthing spot for yachts and cargo ships. The Harbour provides lodging opportunities, local restaurants, supermarkets and few Charting companies.
